Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026 · Version 1.3
Syro Robotics, registered in the Netherlands. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Parties and scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and Syro Robotics ("Syro", "we", "us"), governing your use of syrorobotics.com and any purchases made through it. These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
Our full company details, including registered address and registration numbers, are set out in Section 14. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Products and availability
All product listings are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify products at any time without notice. Product images are for illustration purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual product.
When you add an item to your cart, that stock is reserved for up to 10 minutes. After this period, reserved stock may be released back to general availability. Completing checkout before the timer expires is required to guarantee your order.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are displayed in EUR and include VAT where it applies. The total price payable — including shipping, taxes, and any other charges we levy — is shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Charges levied by the destination country on import are not included; see Section 4.
Payments are processed securely by Mollie B.V., a licensed payment service provider regulated in the Netherlands. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Syro Robotics does not store your card or bank details.
A contract of sale is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. Until that point, your order is an offer to purchase which we may accept or decline (for example, if a pricing error has occurred or stock is unavailable).
In the event of a pricing error on our website, we are not obliged to honour the incorrect price. We will notify you of the correct price and give you the option to proceed or cancel your order.
4. Shipping and delivery
Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are indicative only. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers, customs authorities, or events outside our reasonable control (see Section 11).
Shipping costs are payable by you. Outbound shipping is charged at checkout. Any subsequent shipment of a product from you to us — including returns, withdrawals under Section 5, warranty claims under Section 6, and products sent in for repair under Section 7 — is carried out at your cost, unless these Terms state otherwise for a particular case.
Duties, tariffs, and import taxes. Orders shipped outside the Netherlands may attract customs duties, tariffs, import VAT, brokerage or handling fees, or other charges levied by the destination country. These are payable by you and are not included in the price shown at checkout. You are the importer of record. Where a carrier advances such charges on your behalf, you are responsible for reimbursing them. If you refuse delivery or fail to pay these charges, and the shipment is consequently returned to us, abandoned, or destroyed, we may deduct the outbound shipping, return shipping, and any charges we incur from any refund otherwise due to you.
Delivery address. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact details, and for keeping them up to date until delivery. Where a delivery fails, is delayed, or is returned to us because the address you supplied was incorrect, incomplete, or out of date, or because delivery could not be accepted, any redelivery, storage, re-routing, or return charges are payable by you before we re-dispatch the order. We are not liable for a shipment lost or misdelivered as a result of an incorrect address supplied by you.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the address specified in your order.
5. Returns and right of withdrawal
EU consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive). You do not need to provide a reason for withdrawal during this period.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, tell us before the 14-day period expires, either by contacting us here or by using the model withdrawal form. You must then return the product within 14 days of notifying us.
You may unpack, inspect, and test the product to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, in the same way you would in a shop, without losing your right of withdrawal. We may reduce your refund to reflect any diminished value resulting from handling beyond that. Please return the product in its original packaging where you still have it.
We refund the payments received from you within 14 days of being informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product back or you have supplied evidence of having sent it, whichever is earlier. Refunds are issued to your original payment method at no charge to you.
You bear the direct cost of returning the product, including where you use a carrier of your choice, and including any duty or clearance charge arising on the return shipment. Where you chose a delivery option more expensive than our standard delivery, any refund of outbound delivery is limited to our standard delivery cost. Duties, tariffs, and import charges you paid on the outbound shipment are not refundable by us; depending on your country, you may be able to reclaim them directly from the customs authority.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been custom-configured, sealed software that has been opened, or products that are clearly personalised.
6. Warranties
All products sold by Syro Robotics come with a 12-month commercial warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or modification
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by operating outside published specifications
- Consumable parts (e.g. connectors, cables)
Opening, disassembling, or repairing the product does not itself void this warranty. Only the specific damage that a repair or modification directly causes is excluded — see Section 7 for our full repair commitments.
Where you return a product to us under this commercial warranty, you bear the cost of sending it to us; we bear the cost of returning the repaired or replaced unit. Where we inspect a returned product and find no defect covered by this warranty, we may charge you the diagnostic fee referred to in Section 7.4 and the cost of returning the product to you.
This commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law, including the legal guarantee of conformity under EU Directive 2019/771. Where you exercise those statutory rights, bringing the product back into conformity is free of charge to you, including the necessary postage and shipping costs, and nothing in Section 4, Section 5, or this Section 6 limits that.
To make a warranty claim, contact us here with your order number and a description of the defect.
7. Right to repair and repairability
We build hardware intended to be maintained. This section describes the repair services and materials we make available. It is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.
7.1 Opening and repairing your device
You are free to open, inspect, modify, and repair any product you have purchased, either yourself or through a repairer of your choice. Doing so does not void your commercial warranty under Section 6, and never affects your statutory rights. We exclude from warranty cover only the specific damage that a repair, modification, or disassembly directly causes.
7.2 Spare parts
We supply spare parts and repair components subject to stock and supplier availability. We give no undertaking to stock, produce, or source any part for any fixed period, and availability may end without notice, including while a product remains in our catalogue. Parts are priced at the prevailing market price at the time of the request and are subject to change without notice. Shipping, duties, and import charges on parts orders are payable by you on the terms set out in Section 4. We may set minimum order quantities, require proof of ownership, and decline supply of components that are safety-critical, calibrated, or supplied to us under restrictions that prevent onward sale.
7.3 Repair information
On request, and to owners who can evidence purchase, we make available the documentation reasonably required to diagnose and service a unit. Access may be conditional on acceptance of a licence restricting use to servicing your own unit, and on the documentation not being redistributed.
7.4 Our repair service
You may send any product to us for repair, whether in or out of warranty:
- In warranty: where a defect is covered under Section 6, the repair itself is free of charge. You bear the cost of sending the product to us; we bear the cost of returning it. We will repair or replace at our discretion, normally within 21 working days of receiving the product.
- Out of warranty: we charge a diagnostic fee, quoted to you before you send the product in, which is credited in full against the repair cost if you accept our quote. We inspect the product and then send you a written quote; no chargeable work begins until you accept it, and you may decline and have the product returned to you. Shipping in both directions, and any duties or clearance charges on either leg, are payable by you.
- Repair warranty: repairs we perform carry a fresh 6-month warranty on the repair work and any replaced components, running from the date the repaired product is returned to you.
Where a product is sent to us from outside the Netherlands, it must be shipped and declared in a way that does not leave us liable for import charges. We may refuse or return a shipment tendered to us with charges payable, or pass those charges on to you.
7.5 Reasonable limits
We may decline a repair where the product has suffered damage beyond economic repair (for example severe impact, immersion, or fire damage), where the estimated repair cost exceeds the current price of a new equivalent unit, where a required component is no longer obtainable from any source, where the repair is beyond our technical capability or the equipment, tooling, or expertise required is not available to us, or where ownership cannot be evidenced. In those cases we will tell you why and return the product at your request and at your cost.
Repairs carried out by you or by a third party are performed at your own risk. Flight hardware is safety-relevant: it remains your responsibility under Section 9 to verify that any repaired unit is airworthy and compliant with the regulations applicable in your country of use before flight.
To request parts, documentation, or a repair, contact us here with your order number and the product serial number.
8. Intellectual property
All content on syrorobotics.com — including text, images, logos, and software — is owned by or licensed to Syro Robotics and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
Hardware products sold by Syro Robotics may be based on open hardware designs (such as FMUv6X). Your purchase grants you ownership of the physical product only; it does not transfer any intellectual property rights beyond those granted by the applicable open hardware licence.
Nothing in this section restricts your right to repair or modify a product you own, or your right to receive the repair information described in Section 7.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use our products or services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations (including drone flight regulations in your jurisdiction)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or compromise our website, customer accounts, or IT infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or interact with our website without permission
- Provide false or misleading information when creating an account or placing an order, including delivery or customs declaration details
This section concerns our website and online systems. It does not restrict your right under Section 7 to open, inspect, modify, or repair a product you own.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you purchase comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of use, including but not limited to aviation, drone, import, and export regulations. This applies equally to products you have repaired or modified yourself.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Syro Robotics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our products or services.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for your statutory rights as a consumer (including the legal guarantee of conformity), or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemic, war, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, changes to customs or tariff regimes, or failures of third-party service providers.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
For EU consumers, alternative dispute resolution may be available through a certified dispute resolution body. The European Commission maintains a list of bodies in the Member States, Norway, and Iceland: consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. In cross-border disputes you can also contact your national European Consumer Centre.
13. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
The version of these Terms in effect on the date of your order governs that order.
